Welcome to the Holiday Bungalow

Following the amazing work completed by our own volunteers and those from the National Lottery, we are pleased to offer our newly renovated Holiday Bungalow for your next staycation.

About the Holiday Bungalow

The bungalow is fully accessible and offers the accommodation below:

Three bedrooms as follows:

• Bedroom one – standard double bed (140cm) suitable for 1 – 2 people
• Bedroom two – single room with profiling bed
• Bedroom three – twin room with a standard single bed (90cm) and a single profiling bed – this room is equipped with a ceiling hoist, but users MUST provide their own slings

In addition to the bedrooms

• Sitting room facing the garden with TV, DVD and smart speaker connection
• An accessible kitchen (with low-level counter tops) equipped with fridge/freezer, hob, oven and microwave, and providing seating for 4 – 5 around the dining table
• Flat access shower room with shower, wash hand basin and standard toilet
• To the rear of the bungalow, there is an enclosed garden with two dog toileting areas with different substrates, a patio area with outdoor furniture, a gas BBQ and a generous area of lawn and shrub borders.
• There will be parking for one car-sized vehicle adjacent to the bungalow and larger or additional vehicles can be parked in the main car park at the front of National Training Centre.
• There is a washing machine and dryer available for your use and a 2^nd WC (non-accessible).
• All bedding, towels and kitchen equipment are provided, and a small welcome pack with basic groceries will be left for you. A final cleaning by our professional Housekeeping Team is included in the pricing.

Please note:

Location

The bungalow is marked on the site plan to the right. The site at the National Training Centre is in constant use throughout the week, and sometimes at weekends. Whilst guests at the bungalow will be able to use the accessible footpath in the field and the enclosed paddock, priority MUST be given to dogs in training and staff pet dogs.

Whilst the nearest village is less than a mile away, the road is unsafe to walk. There is no public transport serving the site so guests will require their own transport.

The location is in easy reach of sites of interest such as the National Memorial Arboretum, Bosworth Battlefield, King Richards Visitor Centre, Chatsworth House, and many more tourist attractions.

Occupancy and suitability

Maximum occupancy for the bungalow is 4 adults, or 3 adults and 2 children, or 2 adults and 3 children. Please note that we are not currently able to provide any baby equipment, although of course, you are welcome to bring your own. Pet dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement but MUST not be left unaccompanied in the bungalow at any time and proof of current vaccinations will be requested

Booking periods

We are now taking bookings for the remainder of 2024 including Christmas / New Year and into 2025.

Minimum stay is 3 nights.

Flexible check-in and out times are subject to availability.

Pricing

Book your stay

We currently are accepting reservations for dates until 19 April 2025.

Payment

Once we confirm your booking you will be required to pay 25% of your total stay amount. This amount will be non-returnable unless we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances. Should you need to change your plans we will endeavour to offer you alternative dates but these are subject to availability.

The balance of the stay would be due 6 weeks before the start date of your stay – if you book less than 6 weeks before your stay then the full amount will be due at the time of booking.

Once your booking is received and your deposit paid you will receive a written booking confirmation.
