Help transform lives by joining Canine Partners vintage cream tea
Enjoy a vintage afternoon cream tea and optional glass bubbly at Canine Partners Midlands Centre at 3pm on Saturday 16 April.
All money raised from the event will help Canine Partners to train more assistance dogs and transform the lives of people with disabilities, including wounded servicemen and women.
Canine Partners trains assistance dogs to carry out tasks such as opening and closing doors, undressing, pressing buttons, retrieving items, unloading washing machines, taking card and cash from ATMs and other everyday tasks that disabled people find difficult, painful or impossible to do for themselves.
Helen Watkinson, Midlands Regional Fundraiser for Canine Partners, said: “Enjoy a selection of sandwiches and freshly baked cakes, plus a pot of tea or coffee or an optional glass of bubbly, and catch up with your friends, family or colleagues.
“By attending you will be supporting a life-transforming charity which really makes a difference to people with physical disabilities. There will also be an opportunity to meet some of our dogs and witness first-hand some of the tasks they carry out to help their disabled partners regain independence.
“Places are by advance tickets only – so book early to avoid disappointment! Canine Partners does not receive any government funding and relies solely on donations and legacies.”
Tickets are £10pp for a vintage afternoon tea or £12.50pp for an afternoon tea with a glass of bubbly. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Helen via firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01530 225939.
