Zumbathon raises awareness for Canine Partners
More than 20 enthusiastic fundraisers grooved their way through a Zumbathon to raise £255 for assistance dog charity Canine Partners.
Ladies and gentlemen supported the Charity by taking part in the energetic event at the Charity’s Midlands Centre in Osgathorpe to raise money to transform the lives of people with physical disabilities.
Canine Partners trains amazing dogs to help with everyday tasks they would otherwise find difficult, painful or impossible including opening doors, undressing, pressing buttons, and emergency response. The dogs increase independence, confidence and provide loving companionship.
Helen Watkinson, Midlands Regional Fundraiser at Canine Partners, said: “We had around 20 people take part in the Zumbathon at our Midlands Centre and we raised a brilliant £255!
“It was fantastic fun and very funny – great way to raise money and awareness with a new audience!”
There is also the opportunity to tuck into mince pies and sip mulled wine while browsing numerous craft stalls at Canine Partners Christmas Evening on Friday 18 December between 5pm until 10pm at its Midlands Centre.
