Leicestershire’s smartest to go head to head to help transform lives

BRAIN boxes will put their knowledge to the test as a bumper charity quiz comes to Leicestershire.

Canine Partners is hosting a quiz night at its state-of-the-art Midlands Training Centre in Osgathorpe where it trains some of the country’s cleverest dogs.

The amazing assistance dogs learn how to carry out a range of everyday tasks including opening doors, dressing and undressing a person and loading and unloading a washing machine.
They then go on to transform the lives of disabled people, helping them to continue living independently and boosting their confidence and self-esteem.

But from 6.30-10pm on December 2, the centre will test the brain power of Leicestershire’s human residents as they host the special quiz.

People will go head to head in the event in a bid to raise cash for the charity so that it is able to train even more amazing dogs.

Fundraising and community engagement manager Helen Watkinson said: “We’re really looking forward to testing the knowledge of people living near our Midlands Training Centre.
“Our quiz night will be great fun and will help us raise vital cash. It may even have some slightly festive questions too. As we receive no government funding we rely on events like these so that we can continue our life-transforming work.”

Teams of up to six people can enter for £10 per person which includes a buffet.
