Pupils raise thousands for Canine Partners

Pupils from Portsmouth High School have raised an incredible £3,557.68 for Canine Partners. Their creativity, energy, and teamwork will help us create more life-changing partnerships.

Portsmouth High School has proudly supported Canine Partners since 2020, raising more than £7,500 to help train life-changing assistance dogs.
In June, ambassador dog Vimto and handler Ewan visited the school to celebrate an impressive £3,557.68 raised during the 24/25 school year – their highest total so far! As always, Vimto was a huge hit with pupils who were thrilled to see him again.
Each year, year seven pupils take on imaginative fundraising challenges, from sponsored swims and silences to screen-free weekends, cake sales and pet-sitting. Highlights include Thea cycling the circumference of Portsea Island over five days, raising £1,600, and India’s solo litter pick of Southsea, which raised over £225 in just 24 hours!
Last year, the school reached an exciting milestone when they raised enough to name one of our puppies. Pupils voted and chose the name Daffodil, after the school flower. Daffodil is now beginning her journey with Puppy Training volunteers, preparing for her future as a life-changing assistance dog.
We love visiting schools to deliver assemblies and hands-on learning, giving pupils an insight into the work of assistance dogs. These sessions show how their fundraising helps change lives. Get your school involved with assemblies, activities, and fundraising – and help support life-changing assistance dogs today!
