Collaboration is key to creating life-changing partnerships. We were proud to host the recent Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK) Learning and Development Working Group Conference at our National Training Centre, welcoming organisations from across the assistance dog community.

At Canine Partners, we know that life-changing partnerships don’t happen alone. While our incredible dogs are at the heart of everything we do, the wider assistance dog community plays a vital role in helping us create lasting impact. That’s why we were so pleased to open our doors and welcome colleagues from across the sector to our National Training Centre for the Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK) Learning and Development Working Group Conference.
Dogs for Autism, Dogs for Good, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Medical Detection Dogs, Hypo Hounds, Guide Dogs UK, Support Dogs, and Darwin Dogs, joined us to tackle challenges, share expertise, and strengthen the support available to people who rely on assistance dogs.
From practical workshops on training to discussions on fundraising and volunteering, the day was all about collaboration that delivers real results. A session on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion led by Dogs for Good explored ways to make services more accessible and reflective of the communities we support
“Partnership is at the heart of everything we do. By learning together, sharing openly, and supporting one another, we strengthen the assistance dog community and ensure more people can benefit from these life-changing partnerships.”
