In memory of Colonel Alan Jukes OBE

Everyone at Canine Partners would like to extend their deepest sympathy following the passing of our long-standing friend, supporter and benefactor, Colonel Alan Jukes OBE.

Colonel Jukes grew up in East Sussex and joined the Royal Marines at the age of 18, becoming Second Lieutenant and being awarded the Sword of Honour in 1946. He went on to become commanding Officer for 42 Commando RM and was appointed OBE (Military Division) on 1 January 1971 by HM Queen Elizabeth II.

A founding Trustee of Canine Partners, Alan and his late wife Caroline were passionate about our work transforming the lives of disabled people through partnerships and were instrumental in the growth of the charity.

Their generosity enabled us to purchase our Southern and National Training Centres and modernise our website; as well as supporting our Big Give campaigns between 2016 and 2021.
