Meet Ellie and Daisie

Hi everyone, I am very excited to introduce myself to you all. I am Daisie a fun, eager and loving black Labrador. I was on my way to becoming a jacket Canine Partner, but I found change little challenging and preferred to be with one person. However, I am such a keen worker, and a space became available within the Dog Ambassador Team in 2020 and I was living with Advanced Trainer Ellie whilst she helped to support me with change and it just seemed like the perfect fit to stay and join the team 😊

I absolutely love pushing a cupboard door shut, its just so much fun and I get to do it with enthusiasm. But I do also really enjoy taking my own jacket off, that seems to always get me a round of applause which Ellie tells me is all for me! When I am not at events show casing the skills of a Canine Partner I adore going on long countryside walks, going to my monthly hydrotherapy swimming and trick training. I think learning something new is great fun.

Ellie my handler was an Advanced Trainer before moving into the Aftercare Team in April 2023 covering the south east. Ellie says ‘I enjoy the variety that both roles bring, working with people and their dogs and seeing the difference that dogs can make to people’s lives and that no day is the same’

We can’t wait to see you at events soon and maybe you’ll get to see one of my new tricks I have learnt.
