Angel
Meet our newest little life-changer, Angel. She’s just starting training to become a life-changing assistance dog.
Could you sponsor her journey to become a Canine Partner?
Golden Retriever Angel lives in Bedfordshire with her Puppy Training Volunteer and her four-legged brother. Percy.
Over the next two years she’ll go through puppy training, learning basic skills and commands, before going to ‘Big School’ for assistance dog training, where she will turn that early training into life-changing taskwork.
When she graduates, she’ll receive her purple Canine Partner jacket and be partnered with a disabled person.
You can follow every step of her journey by sponsoring her today.
Why Angel needs sponsoring
Every one of our life-changing partnerships costs £50,000 – that’s £11.26 a day.
More than half of that is spent during the first two years while training to become assistance dogs. It funds:
- Training equipment and weekly puppy classes.
- Toys and food.
- Vet bills, preventative care, physiotherapy and pet insurance to keep them fit and healthy.
- Support for their Puppy Training and Assistance Dog Training Volunteers as they raise and train them.
- Kennel care at our National Training Centre.
- Specialist training with our Assistance Dog Trainers and Canine Care team.
