Hi, my name is Ollie and I am a black Labrador Retriever.

I started my journey as an Canine Partner assistance dog, through no fault of my own I found my way back at our National Training Centre but it quickly became clear that my absolute favourite thing in the world is meeting people! Because of that, I had a career change and it was decided that my friendly, sociable nature would be much better suited to the Dog Ambassador role and I couldn’t agree more!

I love being out and about, meeting lots of new people, and being right in the middle of the action. My handler says I bring a lot of enthusiasm and joy to everything I do, and I always make sure to greet everyone properly especially if there might be a fuss or a cuddle involved!

My favourite tasks during demonstrations are tugging off clothes and pushing buttons, I think they’re great fun and I always like to show off what I can do. I am very eager to get involved and love making people smile when they see me working.

When I’m not busy being a Dog Ambassador, my favourite day-off activities are much more relaxed. If I’m not snoozing in the garden, you’ll usually find me enjoying a swim in the river or having a good play with my doggy pals that I meet on my walks.

My handler, Rob, has been part of Canine Partners for around 13 years as an Assistance Dog Trainer based in central Scotland. Here’s what he has to say:

“Though I am fairly new to it, I really enjoy the Dog Ambassador role and Ollie has been a wonderful addition to our household and the Dog Ambassador team. I am very proud to be helping him to raise the public’s awareness of Canine Partners in Scotland and also to be helping raise much needed funds to continue the life-changing work we do.”

Being part of the Dog Ambassador Team is something I am very proud of, and I love helping to spread the word about the important work Canine Partners does.

I look forward to meeting you at our events, come and say hello!
