Community Group Volunteer
Bring people together in your local area to raise awareness, fundraise, and support our life-changing assistance dog partnerships.
How you’ll help
Community groups raise funds, share information, and build local support for our work.
You might organise coffee mornings or sponsored walks, represent us at local shows, manage collecting tins or sell merchandise. Every contribution helps us support more people living with physical disabilities.
Join or start a group
You can join an existing group in your area or help start one locally.
We’ll check whether there’s a group near you and advise on next steps. Community groups are volunteer-led and shaped by the people involved.
Time and commitment
Community groups are flexible and built around your availability.
There’s no minimum time commitment. Some volunteers support occasional events, while others take on a more regular role. You decide what works alongside work, family and other commitments.
Training and support
You won’t be doing this alone.
We provide guidance and fundraising resources to support you. You’ll also have opportunities to develop leadership, communication, PR, and organisational skills as part of a friendly local team.
Is this right for you?
This role may suit you if you enjoy meeting people and supporting your local community.
You’ll need your own transport and access to email to help organise and attend activities. Enthusiasm and reliability are key. You can also explore other volunteer roles to see other ways to get involved across the UK.
