Not every dog is suited to assistance work, which is why we look carefully at the right career for each one. As dogs develop through training, we assess their temperament, confidence, and preferences, to understand where they’ll thrive. By offering different careers, we make sure every dog has a fulfilling and meaningful future.
Canine Partner
Trained to provide practical support both inside and outside the home, helping people with physical disabilities live more independently.
Canine Home Assistant
Trained to offer practical task support within the home for people who don’t need a dog to accompany them in public places.
Canine Companion
Placed in a home with an adult or child with a physical disability where companionship and emotional support are beneficial, without the need for physical task assistance.
Broods
Carefully selected breeding dogs who help shape future generations of assistance dogs. Each is chosen for strong health, balanced temperament and long-term suitability.
Dog Ambassadors
Represent Canine Partners at events, talks, and shows. They demonstrate the skills and support our assistance dogs can offer, accompanied by trained volunteers and staff handlers.
