The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017

After the huge success of The Big Give Christmas Challenge in 2016, we took part again in 2017 and raised over £68,000!

Our aim for the 2017 challenge was to raise £25,000 to be matched by the Clive and Sylvia Richards Charity, which was achieved within just a couple of days of the Challenge beginning.

But the excitement wasn’t over yet, as long-time supporter and donor Colonel Alan Jukes OBE not only made a significant donation to the campaign, he also pledged to match any additional funds we raised whilst the Challenge was still taking place.

This took our overall total to over £68,000!

A huge thank you to the Clive and Sylvia Richards Charity and Colonel Alan Jukes OBE for your pledges and to everyone who donated during the Challenge.

So what is The Big Give Christmas Challenge?

Between 12pm on Tuesday 28 November, and 12pm on Tuesday 5 December all donations were doubled through match funding.

We aimed to raise £25,000 in donations to train more amazing dogs. All online donations via The Big Give during this time were matched by the Clive & Sylvia Richards Charity to total up to £50,000. The additional matched funding was provided by Colonel Alan Jukes OBE.

This amount of money will make a huge difference to us, and will be used to work towards our aims of:

  • Reopening our waiting list, which has been closed since the beginning of January 2017 due to the huge demand for an assistance dog, and successor dogs for our existing partners.
  • Helping to fund our in-house breeding programme to train more amazing puppies that will go on to transform lives.
  • Continuing to develop and complete our Midlands Training Centre facilities.

So if you would like to donate to Canine Partners, your money can now go even further by taking part in this exciting Challenge!
